Viewing nodes
A node represents a baremetal host on the SC//Reliant™ platform. SC//Reliant Platform Manager provides the unified view of every node, the workloads running on it, and its current operational state.
Estate visibility for nodes
SC//Reliant Platform Manager provides a single web-based dashboard covering all sites, all nodes, and all workloads from one interface. The nodes view is the operator's primary entry point for inspecting and acting on individual hosts, and it supports drill-down from any tier of the estate.
The same console serves multiple levels of visibility:
- Estate level. Total sites and nodes online, degraded, or offline. Fleet-wide health summary, alert volume trends, and rollups by brand, business unit, or any operator-defined grouping.
- Region level. Filters by geographic region or by brand grouping, comparison views across regions or brands, and regional SLA compliance summaries.
- Brand or business-unit level. Rollups scoped to a brand or business unit for multi-tenant or multi-brand fleets.
- Site level. Per-site node health, all workloads running, recent events, network status, current transport (primary WAN versus cellular failover), recent configuration changes, and open incidents.
- Device and workload level. Drill-down into a specific container, VM, or hardware component for metrics, logs, configuration history, and lifecycle events. Remote shell access (PCI-compliant), and container or VM lifecycle controls.
Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) scopes user access by role, brand, region, or function, so the same nodes view presents only the hosts a given operator is authorized to see. Search, filter, and sort operate across the entire estate within that scope, and the same console supports both routine operations and incident response.
When SC//AcuVigil™ is included in an implementation, the nodes view is complemented by a live topology inventory of every node across the fleet, along with the associated network infrastructure and endpoints. Endpoint state (green / yellow / orange / red / gray) is displayed at the device level and rolled up into a geographic high-level view, so a regional or brand-level operator can see fleet health at a glance and click through to the specific failing node, switch, or peripheral.
Bulk updating nodes
SC//Reliant Platform Manager has an Import CSV feature that makes bulk updates to node details easy. You just need a formatted CSV file with the details you want to change.
Searching the node list
You can filter the nodes list using field names. The most common fields to filter by are hostname, which is the node hostname such as sit0001red0 and group_name, which is the name of the node group associated with the node. To build a query, you'll combine a field name, an argument, and a value. For example, to search for all nodes in the Edge Platform - Cluster Node group, you'd type group_name contains "Edge Platform - Cluster".
The search bar supports the same arguments, such as contains and equals, and the same and and or combinations as the locations list. See How to use the search bar. To save a search and reapply it later, see Using Saved Filters.
