Upgrade using the Management Interface

Use this procedure to upgrade the firmware using the link balancer's dedicated management interface. You can access the management interface through SSH on port 22 or through the web interface on port 80.

Units running on EOS 4.4.1 and earlier cannot be upgraded to 4.5.0 using the Web Management Interface. To perform this upgrade, the CLI flash-upgrade process must be followed. See Upgrading to EOS 4.5.0. Following the flashing of the ELFIQ device, interface names change from ethX to pX. It is necessary to update your configuration to reflect the new interface naming convention. Before starting the upgrade by using the Management Interface, ensure that the firmware file has been downloaded from the file server by following the steps outlined in this article.

1. Connect the management interface to your computer.
2. Start your web browser and navigate to the unit’s IP address.
3. From the main menu, open the System folder. 
4. Select Firmware Update.
5. Click the Browse button and select the firmware file.

6. From the drop-down menu, select Yes to save the configuration file after the update is complete.
7. From the drop-down menu, select Yes to reload the unit after the update is complete.
8. Click Submit.
