Updating node details
A node represents a baremetal host on the SC//Reliantâ„¢ platform. You can update node details two ways: edit a single node manually from its detail page, or update many nodes at once by importing a CSV file.
Updating a single node
To change the details of one node, edit it directly from its detail page.
- Access and log in to the SC//Reliant Platform Manager at https://platform.reliant.io/.
- From the left navigation menu, choose Nodes.
- On the Nodes page, search for and select the node you want to update. For help filtering the list, see How to use the search bar.
- On the node detail page, choose Edit Node.
- Update the node fields as needed. For a description of each field, see the node property reference.
- Verify the values and then choose Save to apply your changes.
Updating multiple nodes with a CSV
SC//Reliant Platform Manager has an Import CSV feature that makes updating multiple nodes easy. You just need a formatted CSV file with the details you want to change. The best way to do this is to apply a filter to your nodes list and then use the Export CSV feature to retrieve a pre-formatted CSV file with the node details, which you can then edit and import.
How to use the search bar
You can filter the nodes list using field names. The most common fields to filter by are hostname, which is the node hostname such as sit0001red0, and group_name, which is the name of the node group associated with the node. To build a query, you'll combine a field name, an argument, and a value. For example, to search for all nodes in the Edge Platform - Cluster Node group, you'd type group_name contains "Edge Platform - Cluster".
