Locations

The locations API actions can be used to create and manage your locations. A location is an organizational object used to associate SC//Reliant™ platform resources with a physical location.

Understanding the Unassigned location

All nodes are required to be part of a location object. When a node is disassociated from a location, whether due to the deletion of a location or its assignment being removed, it will automatically be relocated to a platform-managed location known as Unassigned. The Unassigned location cannot be deleted. Additionally, when it appears in the JSON response of an API action, the address fields will be intentionally omitted.
