New Features

  • CEN-612 Introducing Central Dashboard
The ELFIQ Central 1.22.0 release introduces the Dashboard menu concept. This menu allows our users to configure multiple dashboards for their organization. These dashboards are customizable and flexible, allowing the user to select different layouts with custom display widgets. The widgets on a dashboard will help you to:
    • Know the current ELFIQ Central Version and Company information
    • Stay up-to-date with Adaptiv Networks latest tweets from our Twitter feed
    • Check the connection status for units in managed sites
    • Identify units requiring firmware updates
  • CEN-657 Introducing New Reports
In this version of ELFIQ central, we are introducing reporting with actionable data.
    • CEN-653 Applications Tab replaced with Reports tab – The Application tab in Site Management is now replaced with the Reports tab consisting of two panels – Application and Links.
    • CEN-660 and CEN-665 Link Utilization Reports – The All Links report will give our users an idea about the cumulative incoming and outgoing traffic and the individual link report will allow users to view the status and traffic flow on that link.
    • CEN-666 Status Report – The Status report added to the Unit Management will give users an idea about the system environment for individual units as well as illustrate the current CPU utilization for that unit.
    • CEN-672 Interface Status Report – This report is designed to provide users with the status of each inside interface configured on a Link balancer. It displays the traffic flow on each interface.
  • CEN-663 Ability for Organization Administrators to Hide Decommissioned Units
Organization Administrators can now hide decommissioned units belonging to individual departments by adding them to the new Hidden group in the Organization menu > Groups tab. Units added to this group are not removed from Central but stay hidden from the list in the Units menu > Overview tab.
  • CEN-667 DHCP Servers for Managed Sites
With release 1.22.0, it is now possible to configure DHCP services on a Link Balancer. Once configured, the Link Balancer will use DHCP services to assign IP addresses dynamically to the connected devices, for example, IP phones. This service can be configured for Internet Traffic or Private Traffic and can be enabled from Site Management. Please note that to enable this service on the Link Balancer, a unit must be upgraded to the latest firmware version.

Enhancements

  • CEN-624 Manage Site Address on Site Maps
In Sites Map, you can now add and save Site Address for sites with no specified address and change or edit the address for sites already having a specified address.
  • CEN-626 Notification for Single-Site SD-WAN Deployments
If a user attempts to build SD-WAN deployment with a single site, the system displays a warning notification implying that SD-WAN deployment needs a minimum of two sites.
  • CEN-631 New Login Session Required For Username Changes
If a user changes their username (email address), the system will prompt them to end the current session on ELFIQ Central to apply the changes to the user profile.
  • CEN-642 Deleting Label(s) No Longer Requires Refresh
To delete label(s) for a site, users are no longer required to click Refresh in the Labels tab to view the applied changes.
  • CEN-648 General Improvements to Firmware Validation
General improvements were made to the firmware validation for adding units to managed sites.
  • CEN-678 Bypass Interface for a Link is not Automatically Assigned
The system no longer assigns a bypass interface automatically for a link. This assignment is now manul.

Issues

  • CEN-639 – While deleting a Category, the system does not prompt the user with a confirmation message to delete it.
  • CEN-643 – If a user creates an empty Group name and description by entering spaces, the system does not perform validation of such entries.
  • CEN-685 – Some of the unlabeled Config Backups (more than a week old) are not automatically deleted from the system.
  • CEN-696 – While adding subnets to routers, the system is able to save only the first added subnet while the remaining subnet values do not get saved.
