Addressed Issues
- 253 – Addressed an issue where AOS flow record IDs were limited to three digits.
- 486 – The loose plug on the E-80 power adapter cable was resulting in a brief power outage. It was recommended to use the bottom power adapter to avoid this situation.
- 490 – Edge device was unable to reach services configured on routable subnets.
- 537 – Fixed an issue where configuration was not applied to port 10 of Core device.
- 500 – Fixed compatibility issue with the 8.0.3/8.0.4 USB installer and the Core device.
- 515 – Addressed an issue where stale flows on Edge device were not cleaning after configuring DNAT policies.
- 552 – Resolved an application database truncation issue.
- Enhanced the Edge device GUI with the following device management capabilities:
- Release 8.0.4
Release Date: April 16, 2024
Updates
- General updates and security fixes.
Addressed Issues
- 230 – If an Edge device is powered on, kept running without a WAN connection for a while, and then connected to the WAN again, it fails to establish tunnel connectivity.
- 1460 – After an update or reboot, an Edge device might lose connectivity to the gateway. In such scenarios, it is advised to reboot the device again to restore the connectivity.
- Release 8.0.3
Release Date: March 22, 2024
Updates
- The Edge device LAN interface now responds to an ICMP ping.
- On an Edge device, the minimum speed needed to configure a WAN interface is 1 Mbps.
- Edge devices can now be remotely upgraded.
- General enhancements and security updates.
Addressed Issues
- 395 – When a mobile (voice + data) SIM is inserted into LTE modem, it is not able to connect to the carrier.
- 399 – Edge device does not restrict internal LTE modem’s upload bandwidth as per the given specifications.
- 433 – In Firefox and Safari browsers, the Edge device configuration UI does not log the user out after clicking Log Out. The browser must be closed and reopened for the user to be prompted to log in again.
- 476 – Fixed an issue where flows initiated on a remote SD-WAN site are not sent to LAN.
- 484 – Changes made to the configuration of a LAN port are not applied properly.
- 485 – Local breakout traffic is lost when a cable is removed from one WAN port is connected to another.
- 489 – Under certain circumstance, the Edge device creates incorrect DHCP server ranges.
- 1331 – When DHCP server is disabled, the static routes (routable subnets) configured on Edge device are deleted.
- General bug fixes
- Release 8.0.2
Release Date: October 30, 2023
Updates
- This release announces support for configuring LTE modem in roaming mode. This functionality is available for all Adaptiv | Edge devices with LTE modems.
- General enhancements to strengthen and improve OS performance.
- Security updates.
- Enabled access to the device configuration user interface for different user levels.
Addressed Issues
- 283 – Resolved an issue where LAN devices connected to Edge devices were not assigned IP addresses.
- 399 – Fixed an issue that affected application prioritization of outgoing traffic on LTE link.
- 407 – Edge device reported incorrect packet loss values.
- 417 – Custom prioritization rules or policies are not applied as expected.
- 426 – CLI output may not show all local breakout flows configured on the Edge device.
- 435 – The Edge device configuration UI does not allow users to add or modify the interfaces.
- 437 – Fixed a deadlock issue affecting traffic connectivity on Edge devices.
- 442 – ACN is unable to apply a configuration to the Edge device due to incorrect MTU validation.
- General bug fixes
- Release 8.0.0
Release Date: August 01, 2023
Highlights
- Seamless failover – In the event of primary WAN link failure, seamless failover ensures that internet traffic continues without interruption. Gateway traffic connections are not interrupted and there is no change in the IP address. Local breakout traffic, on the other hand, may experience delay because session will be restarted on another WAN link.
- Multilink aggregation – The Edge device aggregates bandwidth of all the configured WAN links. This results in a faster, higher-throughput connection. Different sessions are split across all the active WAN links.
- Application recognition and prioritization – The Edge device identifies applications through first packet inspection and improves the user experience by prioritizing critical applications throughout the network. Critical applications like collaboration tools, healthcare, financial, and educational services can be prioritized over streaming and social media.
- Intelligent session-based traffic steering – Intelligent session-based steering automatically routes traffic to the best WAN link available. Based on real-time link data, the best WAN link is selected to route the traffic. Each session is created on a single link, and in the event of link degradation, traffic is routed to another link without terminating the session.
- Static public IP support – Customers can request for a pool of static public IP addresses from Adaptiv Networks to reach their end-devices and servers. Port forwarding rules can also be associated with static IP addresses.
- Internet Breakout – Internet breakout allows customers to send low-priority traffic over public internet and keep their critical traffic on Adaptiv gateway. The low-priority traffic still benefits from cloud monitoring and management, automatic link failover, DHCP server, and stateful branch firewall.
- USB and LTE Modem support– Added support for internal LTE modem and external USB modem in Edge devices.
Updates
- Security update to prevent access to Edge device's web interface from WAN ports.
- Synchronized all Edge devices to UTC time zone.
- DHCP IP address for a device can be reserved based on its MAC address.
- Standard users with console access can run certain AOS commands on the Edge device.
- Application recognition database on the firmware is automatically updated without requiring to install a software update.
