Apply a Hotfix using the Management Interface

Use the following procedure to apply a hotfix that resolves compatibility issues with upgrades from earlier releases. Perform this procedure only if you are upgrading from an EOS version between 3.1.70 and 3.5.1.

Connect the management interface to your computer.
Start your web browser and navigate to the unit’s IP address.
From the main menu, open the System folder.
Select Firmware Update.
Click the Browse button and select the firmware file.
From the drop-down menu, select Yes to save the configuration file after the update is complete.
From the drop-down menu, select No when you are prompted to reload the unit after the update is complete. Do not reboot the Link Balancer prior to upgrading to the target EOS.
Click Submit.
Upgrade to the current release using one of the procedures listed in the Upgrade Process.
