SC//Reliant Local Status Indicator (RLSI)
The SC//Reliantâ„¢ Local Status Indicator (RLSI) is a web console installed on each node to provide local status indicators and basic administration functions. Most of these functions are implemented through calls to the SC//Reliant Virtual Controller (RVC) running on the same node.
What RLSI provides
RLSI gives an on-site operator or visiting technician a way to:
- View the current node and cluster status without needing the SC//Reliant Platform Manager or a remote VPN session.
- Trigger common local operations (for example, manual VM snapshots and backups) when central tooling is not available.
- Confirm that the node is healthy and operating in the expected state during a service visit.
When RLSI is useful
RLSI is most useful in field-service scenarios where direct on-node visibility is faster or more reliable than going through the central tools:
- Validating a node after a hardware replacement.
- Confirming a backup or snapshot completed locally on a node that is currently disconnected from the management plane.
- Surface-level troubleshooting before opening an escalation.
