The ZipLine Connection Service application enables loyalty transactions between a Verifone Ruby/Sapphire point-of-sale (POS) system and the ZipLine authorization server, without any additional hardware. All you need is a serial cable between the Ruby/Sapphire POS and the Scale Computing edge security device (ESD).
Where to find it
To see this application's reports and company-wide settings for all your sites, select ZipLine from the Apps menu. The page is titled ZipLine Connection Service.

Installation
Scale Computing installs and configures this application for you as part of the managed service. The steps below show what happens at the site.
- Connect the Verifone Ruby/Sapphire device to the ESD's serial port.
- Scale Computing installs the application at the site.
- Scale Computing configures the application with your ZipLine card information. Have this information ready when you request the application.
