The WebFilter application, Web Filter Service, provides proxy and DNS-based filtering that lets you limit internet access by category, allowlist, or blocklist. It also includes safe search enforcement and temporary bypass keys.
In the SC//AcuVigil™ dashboard, this application appears as Web Filter, on the Apps menu and as the Web Filter tab on the Site status page.
Where to find it
To see this application's reports and company-wide settings for all your sites, select Web Filter from the Apps menu. The page is titled Web Filter.

Installation
- Install Web Filter at all sites so they can communicate with the proxy and DNS-based web filter.
- Open the Web Filter dashboard from the App Catalog in the SC//AcuVigil™ dashboard.
- Manage policies in the Web Filter dashboard.
Getting the application
Scale Computing installs WebFilter on your sites as part of the managed service. To change its settings, contact Scale Computing Support. To add it to a site, open a ticket in the SC//AcuVigil dashboard, email team@scalecomputing.com, or call (512) 687-7401.
