Each site in the SC//AcuVigilâ„¢ dashboard appears as a colored tile on your company's Locations page. To open it, select your company name in the top menu, and then select Locations. Each tile shows the site name, its city, its primary internet carrier (when one is recorded), and its edge security device (ESD) model and serial number. The tile color shows the site's current status, and an outline shows whether the site has open support tickets. Use this page to read the tiles and decide which sites need attention.
Status colors
Statuses are listed from most to least severe.
| Tile | Status | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|---|
![]() |
DOWN (red) | The site's edge security device (ESD) didn't check in with the dashboard on time, so the site is likely offline, for example because of a power or internet outage. The Site status page shows how long the site has been down, and its data is the last status received. | Check power and internet service at the site. If the site doesn't come back, contact Scale Computing Support. |
![]() |
CRITICAL (orange) | A critical problem at the site. Most often a registered device, such as a POS terminal, isn't responding. It can also be a problem reported on the Network tab or by an application such as MultiWAN. For most sites, this means at least one major service is affected. | Open the site's Site status page and find the tab with the critical status, usually Devices or Network. |
![]() |
WARNING (yellow) | A problem that needs attention but isn't critical. Common sources are the Network tab and the Tanks tab (automated tank gauge alerts), and less often devices, door sensors, or payment connections. | Open the site's Site status page and check the tab with the warning status. |
![]() |
INFO (blue) | The site is working, but something is worth knowing about. The most common source is WAN Failover reporting that the site's backup (secondary) internet connection isn't available, for example because it failed its connectivity tests or isn't set up, while the primary connection works. Other sources include Remote Passport, the Network tab, and non-critical devices. | Review when convenient. The site's main services are working, but it may not have a working backup connection. |
![]() |
OK (green) | Everything at the site is working and all key devices are responding. | No action needed. |
![]() |
MONITORING OFF (gray) | Monitoring is turned off for the site, so the dashboard doesn't evaluate its status. | No action needed unless you expect the site to be monitored. In that case, contact Scale Computing Support. |
![]() |
NOT INSTALLED (white) | The site exists in the dashboard, but no ESD is installed and reporting yet. | No action needed until the ESD is installed. |
How a site's status is set
A site's tile shows the most severe status among everything monitored at the site: its ESD, its registered devices, and its SC//AcuVigil applications. For example, if one application is CRITICAL and everything else is OK, the tile is orange. Some applications let you choose the status they report. For example, WAN Failover's Status When Using Secondary setting decides whether a site running on its backup connection shows as OK, WARNING, or CRITICAL.
To find the cause, select the tile to open the site's Site status page. The same colors appear there as the site's status badge and as the status of each tab, so you can follow the color to the application or device that set it. For details, see Status indicator.
Tile outline: open support tickets
A tile with a red outline has one or more open support tickets. A tile with the usual dark outline has none. On the Site status page, an Open Ticket(s) icon in the site header links to the tickets.

The outline is separate from the status color, so a site can be green with a red outline, for example while a ticket is being closed out.
Status counts
The bar at the top of the dashboard counts your sites by status, for example OK, INFO, CRITICAL, MONITORING OFF, and NOT INSTALLED. Only statuses that currently apply to at least one site are shown. ON NET is the number of sites being monitored: the total of OK, INFO, WARNING, CRITICAL, and DOWN sites. Sites with monitoring off or no ESD installed aren't counted.
Tips
- To group sites by status on the Locations page, set Sort by to Status.
- To check sites that aren't OK across your company, use an application's exception report. For details, see Running and scheduling application reports.
