Finding your way around the dashboard

This page introduces the parts of the SC//AcuVigilâ„¢ dashboard you'll use most: the menus at the top of every page and the Locations page, where every site appears as a tile.

The top menu

The bar at the top of every page has these menus:

Menu What it's for
Home icon Returns to the dashboard's starting page.
Company menu (your company's name) Company-wide pages: Locations, Support, Notes, Documents, Site Groups, Users, Service, and About.
Affiliates Your company's child companies, if it has any. See Company structure and site access.
Site menu (the site's name) Appears when you're on a page for one site. It has Status, Info, Support, Notes, Documents, Photos, and Service for that site.
Apps The applications installed for your company. Selecting one opens its company-wide page, with its reports and default settings.
Search box Find a site.
User menu (Hi and your name) My Account, System Status, FAQ, and Logout.

The Locations page

To open it, select your company name, and then select Locations. Every site appears as a tile.

  • Status counters. Along the top of the page, a counter for each status shows how many sites currently have that status, for example OK, CRITICAL, DOWN, MONITORING OFF, and NOT INSTALLED. ON NET is the number of monitored sites, and Last checked at shows when the counts were updated. For what each status means, see Site status colors.
  • Views. Show the sites as Tiles, as a List, or on a Map.
  • Sort by, Order, and Locations. Sort the sites (for example, by Location Name, ascending or descending) and choose which sites to show: All, Company Owned, and, if your company has them, Partner Sites and Affiliates (sites in child companies). See Company structure and site access.
  • Add New Location. Shown to Scale Computing staff, who add new sites for you. To add a site, contact Scale Computing Support.

Each tile shows the site's name, its city, its internet carrier (when one is recorded), and its edge security device (ESD) model and serial number. The tile's color is the site's status. If your account can see other companies, their sites appear in a separate group for each company. Select a tile to open that site's Site status page.

Pages for one site

From a site's tile or the site menu, you can open:

  • Status: the Site status page, with the site's Network and Devices tabs and a tab for each installed application.
  • Info: the Location info page, with the site's address, contact, dates, ESD, installed applications, and network details.
