BUYPASS tab

The BUYPASS tab displays the status of the BUYPASS payment application running on the SC//AcuVigil™ edge security device (ESD). BUYPASS provides PCI-compliant TLS relay tunnels that securely transmit payment transactions from IP-based POS systems to FDC's BUYPASS payment platform. Use this tab to verify connection health, review transaction activity, inspect errors, and configure the app mode.

The tab shows the application's connection activity, error log, and settings for this site. For an overview of the application, see BUYPASS.

Application description: Securely transmit payments to FDC's BUYPASS platform.

Supported ESD models: MG3, SG1v1, SG2v1, XG1v1, VG

Layout

The BUYPASS tab has a standard app header and three sub-views selectable via bracketed links in the top-right of the header: Connections, Error Log, and Settings. The default sub-view is Connections.

Element Description
App icon BUYPASS brand icon. Decorative.
BUYPASS App name / block title.
Subtitle "Securely transmit payments to FDC's BUYPASS platform." Static descriptor.
Version Package version string (for example, Ver.P96000).
Connections Link. Switches to the Connections sub-view.
Error Log Link. Switches to the Error Log sub-view.
Settings Link. Switches to the Settings sub-view. Loads the first time you click it.

Connections sub-view

The default sub-view. Shows TLS relay tunnel activity to FDC's BUYPASS datacenter endpoints.

Summary line

N connections in the last 24 hours

The count reflects successful payment relay connections in the rolling 24-hour window. A value of 0 when the site is actively processing payments indicates a problem.

Activity by hour and ingress point table

Hourly breakdown of connection counts, newest-first, going back approximately 48 hours.

Column Description
Date Date in MM/DD/YY format.
Hour Hour of the day in 12-hour format with am/pm.
To FDC Omaha Datacenter Count of connections routed to FDC's Omaha datacenter endpoint during that hour.
To FDC Chandler Datacenter Count of connections routed to FDC's Chandler datacenter endpoint during that hour.

TLS relay timestamp

At the bottom of the Connections sub-view:

TLS Relay started <time> on <date>

Reflects when the ESD last established its outbound TLS connection to the BUYPASS endpoint. A recent timestamp indicates the relay restarted (for example, after a reboot). The relay must be running for transactions to pass.

Error log sub-view

Displays the BUYPASS application error log. When no errors have been recorded:

No errors in the log.

When errors are present, timestamped error entries appear. This log is the first place to check when the Connections sub-view shows zero connections on an active site.

Settings sub-view

Note: Scale Computing manages these settings as part of the managed service. You can view them here. To request a change, contact Scale Computing Support: open a ticket in the SC//AcuVigil dashboard, email team@scalecomputing.com, or call (512) 687-7401.

Loads the first time you click Settings. Contains two configurable fields and a submit button.

Field Type Options Description
App Mode Dropdown QA, Production Controls which BUYPASS endpoint the relay connects to. QA routes to the FDC test environment; Production routes to live payment processing.
Alon/Delek Mode Checkbox Checked / Unchecked Enables Alon/Delek-specific BUYPASS processing mode. Applicable only to sites operating under the Alon or Delek fuel brand.
Update Settings Button — Submits the settings form. Pushes new configuration to the ESD.

Note: A settings change applies to the live site right away. Changing App Mode on a live site can interrupt payment processing.

What to look for

  1. Connections count > 0 — confirms the relay is actively passing transactions.
  2. TLS Relay started timestamp — a very recent timestamp (minutes ago) means the relay restarted. Normal after a reboot but may indicate instability if it repeats frequently.
  3. Error Log entries — any errors warrant investigation before assuming the relay is healthy.
  4. App Mode = Production on a live site — confirm before troubleshooting. A site left in QA mode passes test transactions but not live ones.
