Every SC//HyperCore release has a classification. The classification sets how the release is made available and who applies it.

| Standard Production Release | Available for systems through the SC//HyperCore web interface for self-managed and in-place updates at your convenience. |
| Limited Production Release | Production-ready software, available through the SC//HyperCore web interface for any system already on that software path. Otherwise, updates may be scheduled with and applied by Scale Computing Support. |
| Early Production Release | Production-ready software. Available by opting in through Fleet Manager, or applied by Scale Computing Support. Validation criteria may apply. |
A release’s classification can change after it’s released, for example from Early Production to Limited Production. Each release page shows its current classification. See the Software Support Guide for full details.
