Adaptiv Managed Sites

Adaptiv OS supports a wide range of features that might not be available in the orchestrator yet. By converting a customer site to an Adaptiv managed site, Adaptiv administrators can manually configure and manage these features. A site that is manually configured and managed by Adaptiv administrators is known as an Adaptiv managed site. Such sites operate in a read-only mode, which means they cannot be modified or deleted from the orchestrator. To apply read-only mode to a customer site, contact Adaptiv Solutions Team.

When a customer site is converted to Adaptiv managed site, an RO (Read-Only) label appears next to the site that helps differentiate it from other sites. In Service Orders, when a site goes into a read-only mode, the site information cannot be modified and the site cannot be deleted. Additionally, you cannot make changes to the device configuration, serial number or links configuration. Redeploying the site is also prohibited.

After enabling or disabling the read-only mode for Adaptiv managed sites, the browser must be refreshed to ensure that the orchestrator accurately reflects the current configuration state.

In site configuration, no updates can be made to the LAN and WAN configuration of the site and no changes can be made to the App Prioritization, Traffic Steering, and Security templates applied to the site.

A customer site can be released from the read-only mode by Adaptiv administrators. The ability to edit or delete site and to modify or update the site configurations via the orchestrator is restored after the site is removed from read-only mode. Note that a browser refresh might be required to see that the site is released from the read-only mode. It is also important to note that any modifications or changes applied to the site through the orchestrator after releasing it from the read-only mode will override the manual configurations setup by the Adaptiv administrators.
